Pemerintah dan Muhammadiyah hampir dipastikan akan serempak merayakan lebaran, Hari Raya Idul Fitri 2024 atau 1 Syawal 1445 Hijriah pada Rabu, 10 April 2024. "Idul Fitri hampir bisa dipastikan jatuh tanggal 10 April 2024," kata Menteri Koordinator Bidang Pembangunan Manusia dan Kebudayan (Menko PMK), Muhadjir Effendy.
Sebelumnya pemerintah menetapkan 1 Ramadan 1445 Hijriah atau awal puasa Ramadan pada 12 Maret 2024 berdasar kriteria MABIMS. Keputusan pemerintah tersebut berbeda dengan Muhammadiyah yang lebih dahulu menetapkan 1 Ramadan 1445 Hijriah pada 11 Maret 2024 berdasar metode hisab hakiki.
